In the face of natural and man-made disasters, demands on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are complex, expanding, and require new approaches to problem-solving. DHS is at CES Government 2020 to present on how your business, organization or technology can support critical mission operations. DHS is changing the way it does business in areas of contracting, tech-scouting, and experimentation. The Department seeks to expand its partner ecosystem in its mission to enhance security through accelerating acquisition and deployment of technology-driven solutions. The Town Hall will be a highly interactive presentation and exchange featuring top leaders from DHS Science and Technology, the Transportation Security Administration and Critical Infrastructure Security Administration. In addition, a number of DHS officials from across the Department will be present to participate and speak with CES Government attendees.
Take-aways and questions DHS Executives will address:
- What are the DHS technology needs and where do you fit in?
- What kinds of markets and funding opportunities exist to leverage government as a catalyst, collaborator and partner?
- Tell DHS what is needed to remove barriers and direct investments for short-term and over the horizon needs.
- Who at DHS is building new industry partnerships and transitioning solutions to the market?
- What value has R&D brought to DHS mission operations?
The traditional government R&D model won’t allow us to innovate at the speed of life. Learn what DHS is doing today to release old constraints to ensure passenger checkpoints, cargo container screening, financial transactions, and first responder operations, can effectively integrate incremental and transformative advances, including immersive visualization, predictive modeling, and autonomy.
